Valid reasons for URL change.

I have asked for the URL of my site to be changed from:
http://www.kuponh.karoo.net/spain/
to:
http://www.rentoliva.co.uk

There is a page on the old site saying the URL has changed and a link to take visitors to the new site. Will the URL get updated or will the old one be deemed to be still in use.

Assuming you have already submitted the URL update, there's no need to worry. The site has clearly moved and the editor will have no worries about changing it.
