Acceptable and indeed preferred.

Pure evil.

This is a general first impression, and in specific situations an editor might do some head-scratching to see if there is some legitimate reason -- for instance, localization -- for what is generally a problematic feature.

Remember, the "norm" is to list sites, not pages, so for most listings a bare domain name should be adequate. For deeplinks, we prefer the "simplest" working URL, but obviously "short and simple" may sometimes conflict with "simple and direct": in such cases the editor's judgment will be, um, challenged.
