I just wanted to get an idea of how long I need to wait to get posted into DMOZ. I have submitted my site every few months for the last 14 months and nothing so far. Can anyone offer any advice?

and please, do not submit your site again. It isn't needed and may actually do more harm than good, for both you and the editors.
