Web Design & Development - A B C D ... categories

We have a client who is interested in a listing for the category

Computers: Internet: Web Design and Development: Designers: Full Service:

But, we could not understand what the A, B, C, D.... represent?

do they represent the 1st letter for company name or something else?

Yes. The only chance to split a category with sites covering absolutely identical topics.
