I can only suggest that you browse around dmoz.org and find the category that your site best fits. Because of the huge number of requests we used to get, we can no longer offer specific advice about any particular site. And we can't make even one exception to that without opening a floodgate.
In general though, I will say that a directory (particularly one not focussed on a single topic) needs a lot of listings to be considered. Take a look at the other directories we list, and realize that you've got to add something substantial before we'll deem it to have sufficient unique content for a listing.
