Hey Guys:
Well, our website has undergone some major changes. The main issue now is that our listing no long appears in DMOZ Our URL is http://www.usamerchantsolutions.com and should have been under this catagory http://dmoz.org/Business/Retail_Trade/Technology/Point_of_Sale/Hardware/Credit_Card_Processing/
We had hired a web developer inhouse to update our site and redevelop our pages. After doing some research on WebProWorld.com we discovered that this web designer was using spamming tactics in the HTML code for the past month to get the site listed with higher rankings. Upon discovery of this we fired him and took out the hidden text and 1 pixel GIFs. Our discovery may have come a little too late since our site dropped in ranking considerably with all the search engines. Upon further discovery it was found out that this person was actually employed by one of our competitors and continues to be employed by them.
Question 1: Have there been any inquiries to remove our listing, has our listing been reported as SPAM?
Question 2: Is there something on our site that would remove our listing from DMOZ?
Question 3: We have 3 affiliate sites that we were not submitting to DMOZ, but rather link exchanging between the sites. Have any of our other sites been submitted?
Thanks for your time and any suggestions you can offer.
