Currently, my site (www.amsvans.com) is listed in to following category:

Regional > North America > United States > Georgia > Localities > N > Norcross > Business and Economy > Automotive > Sales

While this is correct with respect to our location it is not correcct. We service and sell handicap accessible vehicles and other products Nationwide, and we feel that the category listed below is more appropriate for our business.

Shopping > Health > Disabilities > Assistive Technology > Mobility and Transportation

If that's accurate (I haven't checked your site), you may submit to the Shopping category. Suggestions in Shopping and in Regional do not interfere with each other.

Sites are listed in Regional based on where they are physically located. Thus the listing in the locality is appropriate for your site in Regional.

However, having a listing in Regional does not preclude the possibility of getting an additional listing in a Topical category like Shopping > Health > Disabilities > Assistive Technology > Mobility and Transportation. If you feel the site is appropriate there (I haven't looked at the site so can't tell you if it is or not), then feel free to suggest it there.

Thanks!

Thanks for that bit of information, I thought that you were restricted!
I have taken your advice & submitted to the other appropriate categories. Thanks again!

No! Just one topical category (singular) please. Pick the one best fit, if it is wrong an editor will move it. Thanks.

Useless trivia / coincidence - Norcross in England is where the British Government administer the provision of disability vehicles from. Spooky.

Multiple suggestions for this url (and related urls) have been received. Duplicates have been removed, leaving one for review as http://www.teamamsvans.com/ in http://dmoz.org/Shopping/Health/Dis...ility_and_Transportation/Vehicle_Conversions/
No need to submit further. Thanks.

I'm hate to be a pain, but the website address we are using is http://www.amsvans.com ... not http://www.teamamsvans.com. I'm not sure why that one was submitted (I don't think I did it...) but that is just a parked domain we used for a little while to see how well a new promotion was working. Is it possible to update the web address in the current submission?

You can submit an "update URL" request. The editor will attempt to verify the request on the OLD URL, so make sure if a surfer visits the OLD URL, they come away with the impression that it's not the right URL, but the NEW URL is.

Where can I do that at?

Also, its not that the old url is wrong... just that it isn't our main address. It probably got submitted by accident!

You can only ask for an update of a site that is listed.
Suggestions that are still under review can not be changed.
You should put a redirect on your old url to your new url (else we might see them as mirrors).

So are you suggesting I should wait until teamamsvans.com is listed, then submit an update request to have it changed to amsvans.com?

No, you should change teamamsvans making it clear to the reviewing editor that he shlould list amsvans instead. Either by an automatic redirect or by putting some text on the site like "our new site is located at amsvans".
If you don't and both sites are identical they are mirrors and we will decide which to list.

First change the website. If you ask us to change "freds-services.org.ca" to "adams-products.co.uk", we'll look at the URL we have. If it works, if it still talks about what Fred does for money, then there will be no change no matter how badly Fred wants the change, no matter many times he requests it, not even (not referring to you here, but to recent events!) how rudely he demands it.

That is Fred's protection against Adam's attempt to steal his listing. Fred may not see it that way, but on the internet we don't know Fred from Adam.

So if you want us to change "freds-services.ca" to "freds-services.com" -- better make sure that freds-services.ca tells all surfers, in no uncertain terms, that the real home is now "freds-services.com."
