Website submission

Hi

I have previously posted an enquiry two days ago but it has disappeared.

I just want advice on what to do if the category you have submitted to has no editor and has not been updated for 6 months.

I have submitted my firm url www.rlegal.com in March, April and May but have not been listed or contacted to say it is either under consideration or rejected.

Please respond

There was a forum server crash, and some posts were lost (as were some member accounts).

Wait patiently, and a volunteer editor will review the submission when he or she has time. No category is without an editor. Even if a category has no listed editor, all the editors listed in categories higher up on the branch can edit in that category, and the more than 200 editors with "editall" or "meta" permissions can edit in any category.

That's normal. You will not likely be contacted at all, whether your site is accepted or rejected. If your site is waiting for review, resubmitting doesn't help, and can actually increase your waiting time.

The other thing you can do is post in the Submission Status Forum, following the guidelines in the first thread in that forum, to ask about the status of your site. That way you can know for certain whether your site is waiting for review.

First of all, you can stop resubmitting. The site is waiting for review and resubmitting doesn't improve the chance of it being reviewed. In some cases it can actually hurt your chances. If you resubmit, there is the chance that the new submission will overwrite the previous submission and then push you down to the bottom of the list (if the editor sorts the list by date).

As to the issue about there being no editor, that's actually not true. Every category potentially has hundreds of editors. This one in particular has no editor listed, but if you go up one level you'll see that there are 4 editors covering that whole area. Keep going up and you'll see who all of the editors are who can edit that category. Then add in the editors with permissions to edit directory-wide and you've got a lot of potential coverage

Basically, you'll just have to be patient. And don't have expectations. It will be reviewed when it is reviewed

[added - lachenm types much faster than I do ]
