Hi there!
I would just like to check the status of our submission.
The site is www.rshydro.co.uk. Can anyone tell me how it's getting on. It was submitted a very long time ago.
Also if it has been successful how do I change it's title and description (if required).

Great, sounds like my site is near acceptance...However, I think our website may be in the wrong category. It should be in: Business/Electronics_and_Electrical/Instrumentation/Flow

Would be greatful if you could let me know how long this will take. Many thanks

It was listed in http://dmoz.org/Science/Environment/Products_and_Services/Consultants/

I don't edit in the area and I'm not sure which is the better category for your site.

If you really think it would fit better in Business/Electronics_and_Electrical/Instrumentation/Flow you may use the update listing link on the http://dmoz.org/Science/Environment/Products_and_Services/Consultants/ page to request a change and it will be considered. I make no promises as to the result though. Be sure to give good reasons. Consider why the reviewing editors would have changed the category and explain why you think the first category is better.

It's less than a month -- and our new policy is to provide updates only every 6 months. Please ask again no earlier than November 16.

While you were patiently waiting according to the rules, we went and changed the rules. (Don't you just hate it when that happens!)

Follow-up status checks must now be spaced six months apart so as to give us more time to edit. This means that your next check should be on or after Noverber 20.

I wish I could tell you that the rules won't change again while you are waiting -- but just as in life, the rules in teis forum are dynamic. :eek:

Res17, I think you need to re-read what Sole had to say. It appears that your site is listed, but not in the category that you preferred. Follow her instructions, if you really feel this is the wrong category.

The problem is I can't find any such listing for our company: RS Hydro Ltd - www.rshydro.co.uk . Despite various comments from the editors, our company cannot be found in the dmoz directory. We appreciate your help and consideration and sorry to be such a pain.
Any help would be greatful.

Many thanks for that. Can you tell me why I can't find it in google or by searching for www.rshydro.co.uk. Do I need a G IBL update before I can find it?
