Hi,

I just submitted my website to be included into the personal webpage/t category. I am wondering what all I need to do change so that when my site is reviewed it has a better chance of being accepted.

Thanks,

Despite what you may think, not all web sites take a long time to get reviewed. I end up reviewing web sites that are still under development, and submitted to DMOZ assuming it will be a while before they get reviewed. So when I edit it the same day it was submitted and see it's still a work in progress, it gets deleted, instantly.

So what you are suggesting, is, in my opinion, a bad technique.

We don't do specific reviews of websites here, but here's another perspective.

If your website has unique content that the reviewing editor believes adds value to the category, it will be listed.

I'm not sure of the specific standards for the personal pages categories, but one way you will never go wrong is to make your site as valuable as you can for your intended audience.

Unique content is important. As a matter of fact, it's a trump card. If the site has it, it can be deficient in any number of ways and still get listed. Without it, we won't list the site, no matter how polished it is.

The main site, <URL Removed> is finished as I will not be adding more content to it as I feel that it is a dead end for what I want to do with it. The test page that is there will have new content added to it. I can't add as much as I would like and as often, but I will be able to work on my page at least once or twice a week and hopefully, my test site will be the main site. *crosses fingers*
