What Category?

I'm trying to find out what category I should submit to. I already submitted my site to "Webmaster Resources" but I have a feeling that this category gets flooded and it may not be the best category for my site.

The site in question is Constant-Content.com, its a site that writers sign up for and they sell articles, tutorials, reviews, etc. Basically, content for websites and any subject. So its a tool for writers to sell there work, but its more of a tool where webmasters can go to find unique content on any subject for a website.

So where do you think would be the best category to submit this to?

Thanks

So do you think I should submit it to both, or just wait and see what happens in the category I already submitted it to? Thanks.

Our submission guidelines at http://dmoz.org/add.html require that you Identify the single best category for your site so I imagine that's what you did. That's the fastest way to get your site listed.

If you failed, we'll move it there where it will await a further review.
If you deliberately submit to a different category, we'll still move it to the correct one.

Do you see the difference? The correct category suffers one wait. The wrong one may well suffer several.

Understood. Thank you

Another way of putting it:

We'll do as much of the work (of finding the category) as we have to. We do this for every single site, whether the service was requested or not, whether the site was even submitted or not.

Submitters can help us as much as they're willing. The more they help, the less likely a submittal will have to wait for some volunteer to do it instead.

Speaking only for myself, here:

In categories I actively edit, I frequently find sites that have no business there, but belong in sites that I do edit from time to time. With rare exceptions, I move the site to that category, but do not list it immediately, but wait until I would otherwise review the correct category.

If it's a matter of interpretation of our guidelines, or I recall the description of one or the other category recently changed, I might act differently, and list the site immediately.

So -- do your best to find the correct category for your site. Only in extremely rare circumstances will this hurt your time to publication.
