Hello ODP,

First of all, congratulations on creating such an impressive directory of quality websites. My family and I use it frequently in guiding us to qualified sites.

My name is Matthew Hunter. I'm from Ashland, Oregon and moved to California to start a fun little business and website with partners, CoutureCandy.com.

We've worked very hard over the past year to make it one of the leading online women's fashion clothing retail sites and want the world to know. We now have 15 employees and couldn't imagine a better industry to be in other than the Internet and Fashion.

As I find DMOZ a great online resource, I'm curious to learn what constitutes an acceptable site submission, as I want CoutureCandy.com to meet your requirements.

Gratefully yours,
Matthew Hunter

It's all about unique, relevant content. In a shopping category, that typically means the unique presence of a provider of unique consumer goods and/or consumer services (unique on the net, of course, and the "consumer" is the surfer.)

There are a lot of things that go into making a site more effective, but we avoid trying to judge them.

Hi Hutcheson,

Thanks for replying so quickly.

I really appreciate your input and would kindly ask if you could just take a peek at our site by clicking around some of the pages, especially the "Personal Stylists" tab.

I think we're producing some farily compelling and original content, but your analysis would answer that question for me, so please let me know.

And thank you again for taking your time.

Kind Regards,
Matthew

We don't evaluate or critique websites here, thus giving their reviews priority. Doing so would rapidly lead to the few of us volunteering time here to be swamped.

There is ample documentation about what we do and don't consider acceptable. Why not read it and form your own opinion?

Thanks, Jim. With that said, can you please let me know where the ample documentation resides, as I would like to read it over the weekend.

And also, does resubmitting your site prolong actual submission, becuase we submitted last summer and I don't want to resubmit and have us dropped to the bottom of the queue if that's the case.

Thanks in advance,
matthew
