Ive been trying now for weeks to upload my site to DMOZ.

I press "submit" after filling out the fields, then....nothing. The status bar sits about half way and then doesnt move. Ive tried it with IE and Mozilla aswell.

...after you've pressed submit!?

Hi there!

After you've pressed submit (when trying to submit a site to DMOZ) - is there a page to confirm the information has been sent...?

This email is in reference to the email I sent prior to this!

many thanks,

Dave

Try asking for a submission check in this forum - it may have been received, you never know.

... and yes, there is a confirmation page.

(Btw: Please continue in this thread, instead of opening new ones for each posting. It helps to save our time.)

You might want to temporarily disable your firewall while you're submitting.

Hi (again)

I tried it without the firewall on - still no luck. Still no confirmation page.

I'm a bit lost...

What happens after you've pressed submit?

Hi Dave~

You are certainly not alone in your quest to find out what happens after submitting. I had the exact same question since once I hit "submit". Nothing happened. I still don't know whether my site was actually submitted...or what. I'm glad that at least one other person had the same experience!

Before I read anything else, I panicked and wrote an email asking someone to tell me whether I got through or not. I got no answer. This was about 2-3 weeks ago. So, I will be watching to see what is written to you in the form of advice. For the record, my site is: http:www.farhillselectrolysis.com

Thanks.

Another possibility is a proxy server doing IP-address-shrouding -- this might be a corporate internet (or an ISP) doing dynamic IP address translation.

Thanks 'hutcheson'

to be honest I'm not exactly sure what that means, or what to do! But I appreciate the feedback non the less.

Is there any 'alternate' means to submitting a site!?

regards,

Dave
