what if no editor

what do i do if the category i think im in doesnt hve an editot.....even the one thats close to it doesnt have an editor?

im assuming that u are and editor windharp....is there a way i can get in touch with the two editors called Editalls and Metas who can edit any category in the directory.....and is there a way like i can pay an edior to get me in fast?

windharp is a meta editor, but contacting any editor to ask for a personal favor in getting a site listed is unethical and most editors will not respond to such a request.

sry about that just i really need to submit and theres no editor in my category and i have no idea what i should do.......should i try and get in touch with the 2 editors that edit anything or do i just submit and wait forever?

All you need to do is to suggest your site using the link at the top right of the category screen. If the category does not have such a link , we deliberately turned it off. Most likely you will find a suitable subcategory in this case.

In any case, contacting an editor about a site suggestion is not a sensible thing to do. There are no ways to speed up a site suggestion. Editors are volunteers, and our guidelines explicitly consider payment as bribes.

No, those are not two editors, those are two different levels of editing rights. All editors with those editing rights (over 200 people at the moment) are able to edit in any category.

Just submit your site suggestion once, and then sit back and wait patiently, .

Even if there isn't a resident editor in that particular category, all editors listed in higher categories can and do edit in every category below them, and there are 200-300 other editors (the ones you mentioned) that are free floating editors and can edit in all parts of the Directory.

No site suggestion has a right to be listed, and we don't want to list every site, just the ones that add value to the category (in our opinion), by containing what we consider to be unique content, .

A suggestion by the public, is just that, a suggestion, if the editor agrees with the suggestion, it will be listed, if not it won't be.

The time frame could be a couple of days to a couple of years before a volunteer editor can review it, so, we advise that you not to worry about it, just suggest it, and promote your site in other ways.

tnx alot guys...but would it be faster if i submit to a category that goes with my site and no editor....but also submit to a category thats really close to my site but has an editor? can i submit to multiple?

No, it wouldn't. It could make things go slower, though.
