What if reviewer doesn't understand the category?

My two posts got deleted.
What kind of board is this?

Anyway I will tell you exactly what's wrong, because whoever the editor is he doesn't get it.

The category on issue is
Internet: Chat: Topics: Non-English

I will tell you exactly what is wrong here.

Whoever rejected my application, what he did is he justed looked at the current listings of

"Top: Computers: Internet: Chat: Topics"

and must found my urls not fit.

He think that I am the one who is mis-understanding the meaning of the category.

But the fact is whoever the editor of this category is he is the one who mis-understood the meaning of this category and entered all these sites that are irrelevant.

So the person who rejected my application looked at wrong listings and got totally confused about the meaning of that category.

Now why current listings of this category is wrong?

If you look at "Topics: Non-English", current listings might be right.

It's a category where it's about non-english topics.

But the important thing here is

it's under the CHAT!

"Chat: Topics: Non-English"

whatever it is it's gotta be about Chat!

"Chat" is more important theme apparently.

So the meaning of this category is NOT about non-english topic but

about chat where non-english things are the topic.

Do you get it?

So what am I supposed to do when this happens??

This is a moderated board. No surprises there.

As for what to do, apply again and use those fields for affiliation and such to write a big essay about what the category is supposed to have in it.

Okay. Then one more try.

But think about how many people would just leave without writing any "big essay" in addition to such a thoughtful moderation.

Here is a what current editor of
"Top: World: Korean" says

"... And it you're wondering why I edit in World/Korean if I don't speak the language.. well, so am I."

That's kind of funny.

I didn't see your application, nor do I normally edit in that area, however...

Some observations:
Any site that is not in English, and does not have an equivalant English section, belongs in a specific langauge category in World. Therefore, my interpretation of that category would be sites where an English chat room is available to discuss "Non-English" as a topic.

I don't know if the current sites discuss that as the topic. I'm not even certain what kind of discussions those would be. It's quite possible that the category needs to be discussed and then moved, removed, or become better defined.

If that's the case, I would be unlikely to approve a new editor there. You might be better off finding a related, or even an unrelated category and applying there, so that if you are approved you can learn the system and even contribute to improving the structure so misunderstandings like this don't occur again. :monacle:

For that category, the interpretation that I have is that people that chat on Non-English subjects (Foriegn Cultures and such that do not relate to English (language, etc.) )

If the URL's you chose were a foriegn language and that is how you interpreted it. I would think that if it was a foriegn language would go into one of the World categories.
