I would like to know if there is an approximate waiting period for approval. I have submitted my website about 5 months ago with no luck. I wanted to know if this is normal or if my website has been rejected.

Is there an approximate time period after when you can re-submit? My website has undergone a lot of changes since I have submitted it.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Any waiting period is normal: moreover, the date of a submittal has no relationship to any significant fact.

The submittal policy used to recommend resubmitting (once) after "three weeks or so". I wouldn't recommend resubmitting within six months (but note that this doesn't affect the previous answer: so far as "being able to expect imminent review", six months from an irrelevant point in time is no more relevant than any other random interval from a random point.)

I'd recommend not submitting a site within, say, three months after major changes -- because (thinking as an editor) if a site has been reviewed within the last month or two, I'd generally delete a resubmittal as a duplicate.

"Lot of changes" ... if the changes don't involve better access to the site's unique informational content, or substantially more unique information, then they won't matter.
