What is the next step?

I believe I have followed the guidelines for submitting sites (several times, several months apart) to a rather small category (under 50 listings) and I tried another related one that has less than 20 listings to no avail. This category has not grown in over a year and it has had an editor all this time. At least one of the listings in the under 50 category has been a dead link for several months (I haven't checked all of them). What type of recourse do I have? I applied to be an editor and that was rejected also.

What category are you talking about? Also, if you'd like, post the URL of your site, and we'll try to figure out why it hasn't been listed.

Ernie what repercussions are you talking about?! The whole point of this forum is to help submitters, not to make things difficult for them.

Basically, Ernie, there's no problem in posting your URL if it is asked for, especially if someone like apeuro (or anyone with a 'M' or 'A' tag by their use name). We just don't allow people to spam the forum by posting URLs without asking.

Admittedly, the rules are misleading in my opinion; this isn't the first time this has happened in this forum.

FTR, Antiques and Collectibles has been suffering from a backlog of submissions (I remember seeing 5000+ at one point). Factor in volunteer editors who show up "when they feel like it" (this varies for each of us - some hourly, some daily, some barely), and you have a recipe for that greatest of virtues, patience.

And yes, since we've requested your URL, don't feel like you'll have huge repercussions fall on your head. You won't (just please provide it without hoopla). /images/icons/smile.gif

Hi,
I have taken a peak at your site and see no reason why it could not be listed. It was not in the current unreviewed queue so I have added it to the queue. There are currently around 30 listings waiting to be added in the Antique and Collectible Silver category. There is some reorganiztion underway in the Shopping/Antiques_and_Collectibles category. Hopefully this will result in the addition of more editors.

Tim

Hi Tim,Thanks so much for looking into this. I'll hope for the best! ernie

Hi everyone, just checking in to see how the reorganization is going. It's been a couple of months and I haven't been added yet so just wondering. Thanks
