Hi,

I submitted a site to one of the directory and it was reviewed promptly. There were a lot of people that also came from some thread in the editor’s forum of dmoz which I saw in my logs about a week back. I have read the guidelines and think that I meet the guidelines and also submitted to the appropriate category.
Is there any way I can get a little feedback to find the problem, fix it and resubmit. I can’t post the url here but will it be ok if I contact the editor of my category through the link at the bottom.

Thanks

You can try, but there's no guarantee of any response or action - and there's nothing to say that the named editor is the person who viewed your website or that it was declined.

The fact that you saw a reference from an address in dmoz.org does not mean the site was reviewed. It doesn't mean anything at all.

Seeing these references could mean anything or nothing.

Good. We like it if people read and follow the guidelines. It will be of help to us.

Why do you think there is a problem? You said you read the guidelines and you acted according to them. If your site meets the guidelines there is no problem (it will be listed, when that will happen we don't know). If your site does not meet the guidelines there is no problem (it will eb rejected, that's all).
In both cases we will not give feedback.
Please reread the guidelines at http://www.dmoz.org/guidelines/include.html to know if your site will be listed or rejected.

Please do not contact any editor to ask about your site. We are not going to give you or anybody else a prefered treatment. Editors are advised not to answer such emails.
