What's it Take to List an SEO site?

I'm sure this category is significantly pummeled with suggestions...

Had a friend recently see this in their logs:
http://editors.dmoz.org/editors/edi...Search_Engine_Optimization_Firms/C&chainsaw=1

Then they took a few minutes and discovered that this is likely an indication that an editor reviewed their site and did not list it as this log hit happened a few days ago.

So they (and I) are wondering if there are any new & improved guidelines on how to get listed?

Thanks in advance for pointing me to the right reference on this issue.

Chainsaw is the name of one of the editor tools. I wouldn't read too much into the values found in in logs.

It probably doesn't mean that the submission has been deleted, it just means that an editor looked at the site from the chainsaw screen, not an indication of what they intend to do with the site.

... which is basically just a "view links in this category and it's subcategories" sort of thing. While the intention of this tool was to weed out spam (that's the origin of the name), it is nowadays used mostly for normal editing. Due to the database and tool structure it is not well suited for very large category trees anyway, so most spam removal is nowadays done with more powerfull tools.
