Good morning,

What really happens whe someone request to edit his existing listing in DMOZ ?

What about when someone request to edit only the URL? Is there an automated DMOZ crowl&update of the urls ?

Once an editor edits an existing ODP listing, or accepts a new listing in DMOZ, the modification will be seen directly on public page, or not?.... is there is a periodical update ...some days after the listing is edited by the editor befor to show on public page (as i can remember when i was an editor in 2005) ?

We already set 301 redirects in the .htaccess of ccTLDs to the .com/fr/, .com/ro/, .com/it/ new domain folders.

Can you assist related to this or do we have to wait another 1-3 years or more till the request will be seen by the category editor ? We moved all ccTLD (already listed in Dmoz as .fr, .it) to Gtld folders (....com/fr/, ...com/ro/, ...com/it/) nothing else changed.

Thank you,

The inner workings of dmoz machinery is not publicly available. All active editing is done by humans and changes are almost instantly seen on the public directory.

There are no specific timeframe to deal with suggestions so waiting times may be infinite.

@MattC Normally, you'd have been able to suggest an update yourself using the little flags which appear on the right when you hover over a listing, but this case was a little bit more complex...
The listing itself is updated; but it's likely that the stale results in our search engine will linger.
