It was re-reviewed and removed. You can probably count on it not being re-added.

Hi Hutcheson,

Thats bad news! Is there any reason why my site was removed?
Should I submit in another category?

Yes, sites are never removed without reason. In this case, the site is under re-evaluation, as sometimes happens to listed sites. It seems fairly unlikely that the result of the evaluation will be a re-listing of the URL, according to the opinion of several different editors.

Should I submit in another category?
No, please don't! That wouldn't serve any purpose at all.

Please note that we do not discuss the listability of any site in this forum; it is up to the editor(s) in question.

I understand that there is no discussion about listability in this forum, but how can I ever know what to change to my site in order to get listed. I checked the submission guidelines of DMOZ and have no clue what could be wrong with my site.

From our point of view, anything you do to your site just to get listed is called "manipulative abuse" -- and we'd be afraid to list the site, because we'd expect you to change it back right after we added the listing. (This sounds paranoid, but it is our experience.)

Our key is unique relevant information. Only you know what you know that is unique; we merely judge relevance (and, of course, distinguish between information and marketing-promotional-hype). So we really can't tell you what you might have published but didn't.

We bought this site about 1 year ago. At that time the site was selling isoflavones pills and was listed in DMOZ. We changed site completely, not one sentence of the original site remained. The purpose was to make this site an authorative and informative site about isoflavones. We still believe that this site is of value to anyone seeking information about isoflavones, more than it was in the past ...

I understand editors cannot give any hints why my listing was removed. Maybe some of the other users of this forum can give me some help. Please private mail me, I'm desperate!

Thanks!
Hildegard
