Hello,

I submitted my website www.spa-france.fr/english/ to DMOZ last week... But I think that I didn't choose the good category...
I know that I have done a mistake and i had to ask on this forum before...But I didn't know it exists ! :)
Can you tell if my website is on the good category and if not, please tell me the good one !
Many thanks !

Ok, taking a quick look at the site, I think you need to ask yourself the following question:

* What purpose does this site perform? Is it to give information about your company to investors, customers, potential employees? I don't see any of that on the site at all. All I can see if a very brief profile of your company, and an email address.

The French language part of your site seems to have a lot more information in it, all the links down the right-hand side and I would think that it would get listed somewhere in World/Francais but the English-language part I don't think will get listed, without some sort of equivalent content.

Hope this helps.

http://www.spa-france.fr/english/ says that the site will be translated into English (as well as Portuguese and Spanish). When that's done, you can submit the site again to the three language branches. But, as alucard said, only the French version has content at this moment. Also note that it's not necessary to submit specific deeplinks for the different languages, we prefer to list the URL of the more general homepage several times because it's easier to maintain afterwards. <img src="/images/icons/smile.gif" alt="" />

Your site was rejected previously for lacking unique content in English. I can see that there is now more content in English than previously so I think you should resubmit to that category, ensuring that you have a guidelines-compliant title and description. I would also add a note into your description to point out to the editor that your content has been added to since the site was rejected and referring to this forum thread. You should submit your root URL as the link to English content is clear on the front page.

Before submitting, you might want to consider getting a better English translation of your site. 'Realisations' is not an English word - as a link off your homepage, it will not be clear to an English-speaking audience what the page is about. Much of the internal content has clearly not been written by someone whose first language is English and is therefore somewhat confusing. If you have truly fluent English-speaking staff members then get them to proof-read the content.

Yes, you can submit anyway. I would certainly make sure that all your links off the front page are English words though. I agree that it's mostly understandable, but it's just my helpful tip that you may get better conversions on your site with an accurate translation. I think the market rate for translation companies is around 0.08 euros per word, so that's not a lot for the quantity of text on your site. It's worth thinking about.

Sites will sometimes be rejected if they are seriously incomprehensible, as they are of no use to the user - these are often ones that have been machine translated. I don't think your site comes into this category.
