The thread title speaks for itself, I wish to know who maintains, and pays for the ODPs existance, is it AOL?

Yes, AOL owns the ODP, indirectly through their Netscape subsidiary.

Im not talking about a dmoz email address, I have experienced more coherent conversation with the drive through staff at mcdonalds
