I have submitted my site twice bc it appears that either you never got it the first time or whoever is the editor of my site could be considering it as direct competition. You guys remind me of Seinfed's 'soup nazi' episode, someone makes a little mistake in the submission process and 'no soup for you.' I really believe that some of the editors get there to make sure that there is no additional competition being added to the listing.

Cheers,

It seems you misunderstand the purpose of DMOZ, which is not a listing service for webmasters.
Thank you for suggesting your site (once is enough), but volunteers are not required to look at such suggestions, so although no doubt someone will review it in time, we don't know who or when that will be.

However, if you have proof (rather than just a wild surmise) that any editor is abusing their position, please use the Report Abuse link on the category page, and provide enough evidence so it can be investigated.

Note that the belief that a volunteer has not yet reviewed your suggestion is absolutely NOT evidence of abuse.

If you find the ODP difficult to use, then you might want to focus your efforts elsewhere--something you find easier or more productive.

Nobody will mind. There are lots of good things to do on the net, and the ODP is only one of them.

It is very rare that we ever get a perfect suggestion.

People should not worry too much about not getting the title or description right as we write them after reviewing the site. A description that lets an editor know what to expect on the site is useful, one that meets our guidelines welcome [Of course a suggested description such as 'Buy X here, X, Cheapest X, red X, Green X, Bargain X' etc is rather off putting to any editor]

We are used to the common errors (e.g. Business versus Shopping), confusion over just which of several related categories a site could go in and are even tolerant of sites located in one town that get suggested to a nearby city for commercial reasons. The sites merely are moved to the right category, resulting in a delay.

Mistakes in suggestions are never a reason for sites to be denied.
