Why doesn't DMOZ accept my site?

My site was listed on DMOZ under a different URL 15 months ago. 12 months ago I changed URLs to [URL removed] and since then DMOZ has been unwilling to accept my site into the furniture section.

I'd like to know what could be the possible reasons why my site keeps getting denied and what can I do or whom can I contact to get a listing?

As a small business owner, a listing on dmoz would significantly help my search engine visibility.

Please read the guidelines for site inclusion in DMOZ. This will tell you if your site is eligible to be listed or not.

My site should be accepted because the business model is very similar to many of the larger websites already listed on the database. I hold some inventory and buy inventory through suppliers. You guys have many sites on the database which do not hold any inventory at all.

We do not offer a review service. Sites will be processed at some time by some editor, and this can take from a few days to a few years. It is possible for you to check to see if your site is probably listable, by reading over the information at http://www.dmoz.org/docs/en/add.html

That's one of the points of editing, editors tend to work in areas where they understand the subject - obviously we can all see if a site loads or not, or is totally off-topic, but I for one avoid listing sites in areas I don't really understand.
The important part is that the site works when the editor reviews it, which is why we ask that it is complete and operational before it is suggested to Dmoz.
If the site was down for a significant period of time (ie. more than two weeks), I'd recommend you re-suggest it once to the most suitable category you can find for it.:)

How do i know if my website needs re-listing or not ?
1 think for sure, the category i am looking to list my forum is bulls eye and its among on 2-3 Hindu forum(none of them are listed on dmoz) that exists in online world.

Well, some acceptable reasons to re-suggest a site include:
If the site was suggested in or before 2006 and not since;
If the site has a new URL and there is no redirect in place from the old URL;
If the site was offline for a considerable period (as in many weeks or months);
The site has changed subject (to a point of not fitting where you had suggested it previously);
The site has new content (to a point of not fitting where you suggested it previously, not just a new page added or similar);
The site has been translated into another language (machine translations don't count towards this).

Owner, webmaster, server, style, graphics, navigation, cms and seo changes are not valid reasons.
Hope this helps :)

I think it was suggested around 2012-13 not sure when

If the site has a new URL and there is no redirect in place from the old URL;
No idea it has always been <url removed per forum terms of service - thank you for not posting it again>
If the site was offline for a considerable period (as in many weeks or months);
Don't remember but yaa may be on 2014 it was for sometime may be 7-8 days or more
The site has changed subject (to a point of not fitting where you had suggested it previously);
No subject was always same "Hinduism akka Sanatana dharma"
The site has new content (to a point of not fitting where you suggested it previously, not just a new page added or similar);
Content always get updated since its forum
The site has been translated into another language (machine translations don't count towards this).
No

It's not for an editor to suggest your site, that's something for you to do, and you've done it. Now it's just a matter of patience...

I don't think its unfair , nor should anyone ..because 1st you are suggesting it in other category ..next you know which website suit the category and 3rd you guys are expert.
I have patience..i have come to forum year ago and may be again next year ...but my only concern is whether my website is in pool or not(because i know if person is expert in Hinduism he will and should add it to directory category I want it to be on).

Tnx
