Why don't I get accepted as editor to this small non-updated category?

Hi all!

I am the project leader for a fan game production called Indiana Jones and the Crown of Solomon. The game used to be listed in dmoz in this category: http://www.dmoz.org/Games/Video_Games/Adventure/Graphical_Adventures/Indiana_Jones_Series/Fan_Works/

However, the website was offline for a while and now I noticed that the game is not listed any more. I also notice that there are some other fan game projects that are not listed even though there websites have been up and running all the time and the projects are alive and well. An example is Indiana Jones and the Fountain of Youth.

I am very passionate about fan adventure game in general, and especially indiana jones fan games, so I volunteered to edit this category and bring it up to date. I filled in the application and put a lot of time and effort into it. How come I was not accepted?

My username I applied for was carlhag81 if I am not mistaken. Could anyone look into this?

/Carl-Johan

Did you get a message the application was rejected?
If you did the reason(s) for rejection are in that email
part of the process is that you are able to uinderstand and solve such issues as they are similar to daily editor tasks

Did you read the message Forum Guidelines - READ BEFORE POSTING?
I doubt you did either you would have seen "Wait a minimum of 14 days after the day that you submitted your latest application to start a thread here asking about its status."
your application was made yesterday

for reference [180415]

Thanks for your quick reply pvpgool. I didn't get a messages why I was rejected but I tried to login with the username I applied with and I got the message that the account didn't exist. I assume that means I was rejected, because earlier it said my application had not yet been reviewed. I assume this change of error messages mean my application was rejected but I could be wrong?

All not yet accepted accounts do not exist so one can't deduce that the application was rejected.
Also checking your spam-filter could be advised.

Ah, ok, I will keep checking my inbox then. Nothing in spam folder so far either. Thanks.

Well, it's been more then 14 days, so I guess it's alright to ask what happened to my application?

Actually, I never got a verification message on that account, so I applied again, as per recommendation with the username carlhag81 instead. So I am wondering about the username carlhag81.

As you know, you have an application pending under the username carlhagberg81.

Applications with unverified emails are invisible to us puny humans and so there's no realistic way of checking what happened to your earlier one or if it was even received.. The point is moot anyway because editors are only allowed a single account.

In addition to Jimnoble's answer.
We did have a problem during a short time with emails being send out.
Your email might have been influenced by this problem.
You have one open application ( carlhagberg81 )
The second application ( carlhag81 ) was removed as it was a duplicate for the first one.
Both applications are for the same person and for the same category.

So because I never received that verification mail, I can never become an editor? That seems like a strange system.

Ok, I didn't think it was possible to review it without verifying the mail. Thanks for letting me know.
