Why my site is not listed in DMOZ? ( http://www.sellmysmallbiz.com/ )

Hi all !

It is been 2 months I submitted my site in DMOZ under the category Top: Regional: North America: United States: Massachusetts: Localities: R: Revere: Business and Economy

but my site is still not listed. The url of my site is http://www.sellmysmallbiz.com Will you please answer why my site is not listed in DMOZ ? Have I done anything wrong? All the suggestions would be highly appreciated.

Well firstly the site is not waiting in, nor has it been deleted (yet), from http://dmoz.org/Regional/North_Amer...tts/Localities/R/Revere/Business_and_Economy/ . Please do not submit there, as the site has no Regional information on it, especially regarding Revere.

In addition other submissions have been deleted from at least 3 other categories as there are no listings as yet. Please resubmit to the *one* best category when the site actually has some content (think in terms of multiple tens of listings in every category).

By the way we won't be listing both http://buyasmallbiz.com and this one, so choose carefully which one you want listed when you do resubmit.

I would like to submit http://www.sellmysmallbiz.com in Dmoz. Well I have chosen the most appropriate category for this site like: Top: Regional: North America: United States: Massachusetts: Business and Economy. But before submitting my site in above said category, I would like to consult it with you. If it is not appropriate category for my site then please...... suggest me the best category for submission of this site http://www.sellmysmallbiz.com. It would be highly appreciated.

In the 15 categories on your site, one contains one listing, another one contains two (one of which is your own site) and the rest are empty. The ODP doesn't list empty directories anywhere, so you should wait until every category has a good number of listings before resubmitting anywhere. Thanks!

We don't give category suggestions I'm afraid - however, remember that sites listed in Regional/ always must have some specific regional significance; it seems like you intend to list businesses from several different countries and regions so I don't think Regional/ is a good choice at all.

I would like to know about the status of my another website http://www.trowbridgegroup.net. It is been two months when I submitted my site in Dmoz.org. Will you please tell me whether my site is in Dmoz Waiting list or not. This is the category http://dmoz.org/Regional/North_America/United_States/Texas/Localities/D/Dallas/Business_and_Economy/ where I have submitted my site. I hope you guys will help me to solve my problem. All the responses would be highly appreciated.

Please wait at least six months between status requests. You had your last one on July 27th. This means that you are welcome to ask for another update for the above site (by bumping this same thread) sometime after January 27th..

I am sure another editor with the correct permissions will give you more information in regard to your question regarding your other submission.

Hi, I am the owner of www.sellmysmallbiz.com and www.buyasmallbiz.com , and do not know who the above person is enquiring about my site. However, I am curious as to why my site do not get listing anywhere in your directory. I do have a large amount of listing now, but you still have not listed it.
