Its have been over six months now since I submitted my site and still nothing on Dmoz. Its in the correct location with all the other local business like mine.

Im sure this topic will be answered by the usuall Dmoz editor who will suggest that it can take 'a few weeks to a few years'. This would be fine usually, but the significance of DMOZ online makes this reply worthless. How can it take so long? it shouldnt. If more editors cant be recruited to deal with demand, DMOZ should not be taken seriously.

By reading other forum posts on here and elsewhere it is without a doubt a big problem.

Time scales are determined solely by the interests and availability of editors. Since you already know this answer, I'm not sure why you posted. Closing.

Well, the ODP in my eyes still is the most comprehensive human editor internet directory, so I don't think there is a need to disband it.

It is surely true that the ODP could use more editors, but editing is a voluntary job, and volunteers are a difficult kind of people to recruit. If you think the ODP needs better recruiting, feel free to do some good PR to drive new editors to the ODP. :)
