Why was I rejected?

A couple of months ago, I applied to become editor of shopping:sports:racquetball. They rejected me and said to become editor of the regular racquetball category first. I applied this morning to become regular editor and I was rejected again for an unspecified reason. Can somone tell me why this is so? My nick name was digital7118.

They probably meant Sports/Racquetball/ instead of the shopping category. Shopping/ tends to have a lot of spam, which might be why they told you to apply for the reqular category.

Thats what I applied for the second time around, but I was rejected!

What did your rejection email say? It usually gives you an idea of why they might have rejected you. Did you fill out the application completely, including 2 or 3 well-titled and described sites that aren't already listed?
