Will it (dmoz.org) ever come back to normal..

How many editors edit the directory ?
Are they all competent ?

Why is it just Not running smooth anymore..
Why so many errors ?
Why so many glitches ?

What is the problem... ?

Not easy to answer, there are hundreds who edit daily. Some edit less often. In a month, my guess is maybe several thousand different editors.

Are they all competent ?

It's run by a computer using programs written by programmers, Computers and programmers are unreliable.
