Will over submission result in a blacklist?

Maybe I should have read up about submitting to ODP before I started. I assumed that the small category (only 5 listings) I submitted to would be updated quickly, and when I did not appear, I resubmitted as I figured there must have been something wrong with the site, broken links, not enough content etc. I've been developing and redeveloping the website quite a bit since then. And I kept on submitting.

Knowing what I know now I would have just sat on my hands and waited. But do you think I might have been blacklisted? I've probably relisted about 6 times since December.

What is the best period to wait before you can assume the site has been rejected?

6 times won't. If they were all to the same category, each one will have replaced the previous one and the reviewing editor won't be the wiser.

A lot more than that might if they are to different categories all over the shop. We call that spamming
