I had a site listed in DMOZ, the topic was legal education. Without changing any content, I converted my site over to wordpress.

Within 3 weeks, my site was removed from DMOZ.

What have I done?

The url stayed the same but to state "Without changing any content" seems to be a little exaggerated.
Thundercom, you should read our guidelines. That is all I can say without giving a site review here. ;)

What does this even mean? "A little exaggerated?"

Let me be clearer: I DID NOT CHANGE A SINGLE WORD. Ok?
If you don't want to help me, then why did you post? To be a dick and throw around your authority--such as it is?

Anyway, I would appreciate and respect anyone that can give me any help.

Spectre...no, the URL did not change. I kept the same URL, and simply pasted each old HTML page to a wordpress post.

If you have read any other threads in this forum thundercow, you would know that name calling will only get you banned completely from DMOZ along with ANY SITES you may have. Banned meaning blacklisted and never to be included again.

Volunteers do not have to answer you and will most likely lock such a topic when they see that you are hostile rather than understanding.

Maybe correct. But still you better read the DMOZ guidelines about which sites we will and which we won't inlcude. And it has to do with not changing words :D

As questions about the status of a site are against the TOS of R-Z no-one is going to help you with a specific answer about your site. I propably have already told you more than I should do.

Well that's a new one on me.

Bad behaviour here is against this forum's TOC (as it is in most) and repeated incidents can indeed result in a forum ban. Blacklisting an offender's websites for that reason would be extremely unusual though.

To make things clear for other readers.
This is not correct.
Nothing any person does on R-Z will influence what will happen with him or his sites on DMOZ. Not positive (sites being listed or being listed quicker) nor negative (person or site being banned).
With two execptions:
1) offering a bribe (will get the person and all of his sites banned)
2) (mention that you will) start a legal procedure against DMOZ, all activitites by editors for sites belonging to that person/comapny will be put on halt until we get a signal from AOL legal department that the issue is resolved

Wow.

Okay, that was really interesting. Not sure really what is going on here. I think if there is any risk at all that my rankings or listings will be further punished, I had better just go away. SOrry i asked the question and broke a rule.

Please don't punish my rankings.

Your actions here have no effect on your listings in the ODP, unless you threaten legal action or offer a bribe. As far as I can see, you've done neither here.

I was referring to the thread which is a sticky that states the rules of harassing an editor. I was not speaking about inquiries. Just be nice to the volunteer editors. I appologize if that statement got misconstrued.

Misconstrued?

How does one misconstrue the following statement: "name calling will only get you banned completely from DMOZ along with ANY SITES you may have. Banned meaning blacklisted and never to be included again."

Perhaps if you had not resorted to name calling we would not be having this discussion.

That may be acceptable behavior on other forums, but it is not acceptable here.

At least Collusionar had the good grace to apologize for overstating ODP's position. I've yet to see you accept responsibility for boorish behavior in calling one of our editors a dick and accusing them of being power hungry. Respect is a two-way street.

Miscontrue probably wasn't the right word. Collusionary wasn't an editor at the time s/he posted and misunderstood some things. You've since received accurate information from others here so there should be no need to continue down this road, right?
