Would the editors be confused by the URL?

Hi everyone,

I've been attempting to submit the URL of one of our sites for nearly a year with no success.

Whenever I check back on the DMOZ listing by typing in the URL of our website, I find another site listing that has a similar URL and I think the editors are reviewing my request and seeing the similar URL, then determining that we are part of the same company. Therefore ignoring my URL suggestion.

One of the similar URL's simply has a .com at the end, whereas we are .co.uk. We are however very different companies.

Another URL is nearly exactly the same but we have two letters different (they are <URLs removed>).

If it is possible that they could be getting confused by this, is there any way of telling them that we are different sites and to be treated separately?

Thanks in advance.

In a word, no.

Editors don't attempt to remember the some 4 million URLs that we have listed and rely upon our servers to point out duplicates etc. These latter aren't going to be confused into thinking that different URLs are identical.

But would they (or your system) be thinking that a .com and .co.uk version would be the same? In my mind that isn't outside of the realms of possibility.

Note: sorry for posting a URL in my initial post. I didn't realise it was against forum regulations and I couldn't think of another way to get my point across without mentioning it.
