Four years of trials without success. HELP!

PLEASE HELP!!!
I was trying to submit my site www.amazingmusicbox.com for four years without any luck. What is the reason? We have been in business for four years and cannot find any explanation why our site is not listed on your directory. Please review and help us.

I see a record of it being submitted a number of times, but each time an editor has decided it will not be listed.

Well....I'm not a web builder etc, and it's just my opinion...but

If I did a search and came into your site...... I'd leave pretty fast. Ok, fast might not adequately describe the speed with which I would vacate...lmbo

Way to busy and not even sure where to go.

Try taking all the jumping wiggly stacked animation off and on the entry page providing clear and specific directions on how to use your site and what you're business is about.

That way, your stacked left hand menu has meaning to the average jo/jane.


Otherwise, to me, just looks like a used car lot with lots of flash and glitz but under the hood a cracked engine block.

Just a note, that when reviewing sites for ODP, we don't give out awards or take away points for web design. As long as the site is readble and contains unique information it's ok. I have refused to list a site that had purple text on dark blue - since in my view it was unreadable, but that's about it.

Dear Mr. Hutcheson,
First our website has been rejected due to "" affilliation reason". This is not true: we are an independent company and have a huge inventory of goods purchased in Italy and and Switzerland. WE ARE NOT COMISSION BASE COMPANY. New reason " insufficient unique content" is not correct as well: we are the only one company who offers on line large silver filigree art pieces.
We are the business as majority companies-our competitors who were not rejected and aproved for the category. In general we sell the same product: music boxes and there are limited number of suppliers in the world. Company success is being dependant from subjective opinion of one person and this is not right and very unfare. Please help with advise what has to be done so our website would get approval for the category

I think you have misunderstood hutcheson's reply, no new reason was given. Affiliate sites are one example of non-unique content, he just worded his reply differently than the reply of bobrat.

If your site is not an affiliate, then you are welcome to resubmit so that it may be reviewed again.

Following your advise I have submitted our site one more time. I think we were wrong accessed as "affiliate" company. We are real business with the inventory and we are not getting comissins fron anybody. Please correct your mistake and approve our site for the following category: "Shopping: Music: Related Merchandise: Gifts: Music Boxes". We are not deserved to wait another six month: we have waited long enough almost for four years.

The six-month period is the time before you can request another status here; it has nothing to do with when an editor might review the site.

As the FAQ says, we don't know when the site would be reviewed.
