Your submission got dropped into our security bucket, then looked at and moved out again, and it is now awaiting review in the category you submitted to.

Thanks for the reply. Do you have any idea why the site was dropped in the security bucket? Is there any timescale as tp when the site will be listed?

Our security system is easily triggered, it could have been a number of things ranging through lost connections, a specific ISP, deliberate attempts to confuse us, a firewall, a proxy, or the famous "using MicroSoft Internet Explorer". Don't worry about it, it's probably nothing important, and we won't hold it against you.

You site will be reviewed whenever an editor comes along to the category. This could be any time from 2 minutes, to 2 years. A couple of months waiting is not unusual.

I've just noticed that the category does not have an editor. Does this mean that there will be a delay in reviewing my site?

There are only four circumstances that might cause a delay in the review:

1) The category has no editor
2) The category has an editor that recently ceased to be active.
3) The category has an editor that is busy elsewhere
4) The category has an editor that has religious or other scruples against reviewing that site.

There are only two circumstances under which a site can be reviewed:
1) The category has an editor
2) The category has no editor, but is being edited by an editall or an editor of a higher-level category.

We haven't a clue when it'll happen.

I see that the category I submitted my site to was updated on 3 Jan '03. As my site is still not listed can you please advise whether it is still awaiting review or has been rejected.

It is still awaiting review in that category with around two dozen other sites.

Your site has now been moved to the 'C' sub-category (where it should have been submitted in the first place) and it's waiting for someone to review it there.

Your site is still in the queue, which consists of less than a handfull submissions.

We normally don't answer status inquiries more about one site than once a month. It hasn't been four weeks since last time, but nevertheless here's an answer: Your site is still waiting for review. You may come back to this thread to ask again, but please not before April 16th.
