www.crc-flex.com site status

I submitted a site on February 24, 2003 for a client who designs and manufactures shipping containers, drums, cases and aircraft maintenance stands. Please see CRC Home Page. The submission category was Business: Industrial Goods and Services: Packaging: Containers: Carrying Cases and Shipping Containers Category Link. The site has totally unique, useful content. There aren't that many competitors out there with Web sites or even relevant content rich Web sites. Since February, there have been 108 sites listed in this subcategory for containers: carrying cases and shipping containers.

I have four questions...
  • I notice that there isn't a volunteer editor in that category. Is this the reason for the delay?
  • Should I resubmit in another closely related category (shipping containers is one of many products my client offers)?
  • Can you submit in more than one category if the client offers products and services that fit into multiple categories? I understood that this is frowned upon, am I wrong? and
  • Should I resubmit after six months? I heard you only have to wait three months but a slight fear of getting blacklisted or something like that has stopped me from resubmitting. [/list:u] If any DMOZ editor can help or provide advice that would be great. Thank you. :flower:

I can't see this site in the unreviewed for the category you mention. Are you sure it was that category you submitted the site to?

As a general rule a site like this will be listed in only one topical category. You may be eligible for an additional listing in the Regional branch of the directory in the locality that your premises are located.

Thank you for the feedback. I feel better knowing that the site is there but on hold for review. I will check back in the recommended timeframe. I guess it was an oversight of mine that I thought I properly classified and submitted it in the subcategory. I think the site actually fits better in the parent category because the company I mentioned does not only offer carrying cases and shipping containers but many types of containers. Thanks for answering my somewhat lengthy questions.

I originally submitted a site on February 24, 2003 for a client who designs and manufactures shipping containers, drums, cases and aircraft maintenance stands. See CRC Home Page. The submission category is Business/Industrial_Goods_and_Services/Packaging/Containers/. I checked again on 08/01/03 and was advised that there are a number of submissions there and to wait a month or two. The site has unique and useful content. There aren't that many competitors out there with Web sites or similar content rich Web sites. That being said, I am checking the status again.

It's still waiting for review together with over one hundred other site suggestions, I'm afraid.
