Hi - I have submitted my blog, Donovan's Blog - www.donovansblog.com - to the DMOZ Open Directory Project - two or possibly three times since December, '04. (http://dmoz.org/Society/Politics/Personal_Pages/) My site has made it into Google, Yahoo and MSN search engines, but I can't seem to make any headway in DMOZ. I understand that DMOZ is not a search engine as such, but a selective directory resource, and an important one, and I would really like to get my blog listed. Any help or suggestions would be sincerely appreciated.
Thank - Bill Donovan

When was the last time it was suggested? There is no need to submit repeatedly, all it can possibly do is delay a review - once a suggestion is received it stays until processed by an editor.

Thanks for replying. To be honest, I didn't keep rack of my submissions for a couple of reasons. First, when I started out, I had not yet invested in a domain name and hosting, etc., so my site was a redirect. Finding out as I went along how important it was not to do that, I straightened it out by purchasing a domain name. hosting, etc. So I then resubmitted my site to dmoz. I have since resubmitted it at least twice, but again, not realizing the importance of doing so, I never kept track. Should I resubmit and keep track, or just wait and see?
Thanks for replying - Bill Donovan

The site has been received and is awaiting review by an editor. All you can do now is to wait for that review, which could be anytime - 2 minutes to 2 years, there is no way of predicting. In the meantime check the category from time to time to see if it is listed and do not suggest it again please.
