It would appear that an editor may have been unsure which site is the main one for your company and it is therefore being looked into internally as I type.

It may speed up the process if you could let me know (in this forum) what sites you have and their association with the company[1] so that we can look into it further. We have already established that the one mentioned is not the only one and it is because of this more work is needed before we can decide which, if any, should be listed.

[1]by 'The Company' I mean the umbrella company as opposed to any other companies that have a different name but offer the same related services including the site mentioned within http://resource-zone.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=22472

thanks for the speedy response.

The two sites are from sister companies and are both offering mortgage related products but deal with two seperate groups of mortgage. one deals with high street lenders and is for people who have good credit (statusmortgages) and the other is dealing with people who cannot get a mortgage from these lenders because of bad credit (equity-online). therefore they have to go to less recognised lenders. I can see how they look very similar however they are aimed at different markets and the companies are different. I hope this clears things up a bit.

Thanks again

Thank you for the clarification.

Different marketing strategies are of no relevance to us within the ODP. Mortgages.... mortgages... mortgages are the only factor in deciding what 'single' site to list. In this case http://www.equity-online.co.uk/ seems to be the main site and the other one (statusmortgages) is, like you say, a sister site.

If you wish to promote your other related services I suggest that you provide adequate linking or join the two sites as we are unable to list every domain for every 'sister site/company' that makes the decision to spread content. Of course I am not a marketing expert however from the ODP point of view it is not a good move and of no use to our users.

In the meantime I have added equity-online back into the pile for an editor to do a more detailed review. If it is listed then http://www.statusmortgages.co.uk will not be listed (and vice versa).

ok. I am grateful for the attention to my little problem. I kind of see where you are coming from but I am not too heartbroken if statusmortgages is not listed because as you say I can link across. The equity-online site is the one that should be listed if any.

Thank you for your help
