I posted www.golden-star-events.com under http://dmoz.org/Society/Relationships/Weddings/Destination_Weddings/Europe/ some weeks ago and I it has not been included.
Could you please tell me if there is any problem?

Am I to understand that it has been moved from category or it is just because "inner" categories don't have "named editors" and therefore it has been 'promoted' to the deepest category that has a named editor?

No, it hasn't been moved - the site suggestion of Jul 26, 2004 is waiting in http://dmoz.org/Society/Relationships/Weddings/Destination_Weddings/Europe/ . (We ask submitters to wait one month after their last submission before asking for status, but rather than add to the confusion I answered it now )

The confusion arose from the fact that the site had been submitted multiple times - please do not resubmit! Now you know that your site is waiting for review, the only thing you can do is wait. If you haven't seen it listed by Feb 16, you are welcome back to ask for status again (please use this same thread if you do so.)

We never move a site to a different category because of the presence or lack of a named editor - the only reason to move a site is to put it in a category where it fits better, but that didn't actually happen this time.

What can I do to have it included? I am frankly desperate and willing to do anything, anything, but I can't get it. I think that any editor will admit that the site matches all the DMOZ recommendations... (and a perfect match for Destination Weddings in Europe)

Nothing. Absolutely nothing. It cannot be done. And that is important to protecting our editors and the integrity of the product -- in other words, our most valuable assets.

You can help editors by suggesting sites they might want to consider (when they are building up a particular topic.) You've done that.

If your concern is doing things to get listed, there are millions of other sites that DO set up ways to do that; there are millions of people that will help you get immediate promotion for your site. But if that's what you're here for, you're at the wrong place.

Hutcheson, maybe I did not express well. I am not looking for SEOs, spammers or anything in between. When I said I would do all that it takes I meant to comply with DMOZ rules and guidelines, but I have already done so... (waiting for the inclusion to happen is quite frustrating )

I see no change in status of suggestions in Society since the last report. One was deleted from Regional. Sorry not to have better news.

You may ask again in this thread in 6 months.
