Sorry your other post wasn't seen.

Unfortunately it's been declined and will not be listed.

Not sure if i am aload to act as an editor, but here goes

Hello Manny,

I just looked at your site and you are breaking one of domz rules, read the rules then you will understand why you have not been listed Eg the Affiliate, stands out like a sore thumb to me and that was a 5 second look at your site.

good luck m8

If you're thinking about NEGATIVE "violating rules", you're lighting the wrong end of the fuse. There are hardly any rules that you can violate, to keep a site from being listed.

What you have to do is something POSITIVE. Provide unique content. If it is a shopping site, that means providing the only representation for an entity (person or corporation) that provides goods and services. And it means there must also be something about those goods and services that make them different from what any other entity can provide.

A shopping site that can't pass two tests doesn't have what WE call "unique content."

what is wrong with my Website

I do provide something unique on my web site that I have not seen on any other website of the same category and this is news related to the products I sell.

you can find a link to these news page at my home page Self Defense, stun gun and pepper spray news and information

that does not qualify as unique content. I am trying to keep my visitors informed and I have not seen this on any other site.

I would apreciate any suggestions you guys can give me so that I can get my site approved by DMOZ.

Blessings

Manny

Manny;

Our role is to build a catalog of useful, unique content on the web; it is not our role to critique websites.

Go back and re-read this thread. It was not an editor who told you that you were violating the rules, it was another poster just like yourself. If that person thinks they have insight into why you declined, therde is nothing keeping you from having a private discussion with that purpose. Keep it private, though, because that is not the purpose of this forum.

All we have told you is that your site has been declined and will not be listed. that is about all we tell anyone, unless it is a minor, obvious thing that can easily be fixed. Go back and read the guidelines with particular attention to the types of sites we do not list.
