About a month ago, and again about a week ago, I applied to put www.manicmailer.com in :
Regional: Europe: United Kingdom: Business and Economy: Internet: Commercial Services: Marketing

Can someone tell me whether I am going to be listed, or is there some reason I haven't been listed?

Hello,
The reason you have been unable to find your listing, is because an editor transferred it from the Regional category to the Business category, where you will find it is listed in the category of http://dmoz.org/Business/Marketing_and_Advertising/Internet_Marketing/Marketing_Services/Opt-In_Email

Did it go in today? I guess that it did, because when I search for manic mailer it doesn't appear. How often do the indexes get updated for the search function? This is more curiosity, since it is now listed, and I know the search will work later...

The Open Directory provides a new update twice a week normally. It is up to each search engine or directory as to when they update. You may wish to check with each directory or search engine as to their schedule on receiving new updates from ODP.
