I don't have the permissions to check the status for you but another editor will check shortly.

I do however think that you may benefit by having a read of the Editorial Guidelines in relation to what we don't list.

I see that this thread is to check the status of a different URL however for our purposes we would class them as fraternal mirrors. We prefer to list a 'single' site for a business when its products are all related and as this site, the other one, and the other three sites that I have found (so far) that exist are all selling insurance from the same company we would not be listing more than one.

If you have a 'main' corporate/company site which is specifically for all the products then that would be the one that we would prefer to list should it comply with the guidelines and be of use to our users.

I have recently taken control of the group websites, so have begun the process of consolidating the disparate sites under single domains.

The group has also restructured since the original websites were constructed. There are now 2 distinct companies with their own distinct brands.

Motorcycle Direct is one of the UKs largest motorcycle insurance intermediaries and is part of the Europa Group of companies. Europa maintain the motorcycledirect.co.uk website as an individual site because it is a very visible UK brand.

A-Plan Insurance is part of the A-Plan Group. A new website will be launched shortly that consolidates the existing group sites.

Although Europa and A-Plan are distinct companies there are still strong ties between these 'sister' organisations. This is reflected in the websites and business practices.

I am pleased that DMOZ does not allow fraternal mirror sites and understand the the A-Plan websites will not comply with this rule before we release our mother site. However, my revised MotorCycle Direct website presents users with a dedicated website, for a large brand, that they trust and know as a seperate entity from A-Plan insurance.
