The first time I tried was two months ago and then about 3 weeks ago the second time.

I'm sorry mm, but when you resubmit most of the time the newer submission overwrites the older one, and we can only see the newer one. It is better not to resubmit unless an editor specifically tells you to in this forum. However, since you have resubmitted per forum guidelines you will have to wait a full month for a status check since your last not first submission.
