I can't see a submission for that URL waiting in the category you named. Neither was one rejected yet. Several possible reasons:
1) You submitted to a different category
2) You submitted a different URL
3) You received an error while submitting.

In any of these cases: If you feel this is the category that suits the site best, you should resubmit.

Thanks a lot for the information. That's indeed strange, because, we actually submitted the site twice in 3 or 4 months, but something probably went wrong on our side.

There is another thing that concerns me a lot. [I know this is not the forum for the following ideas - so please, feel free to delete it] I was analyzing the content of this Sauna directory and to my surprise I found two links that according to DMOZ high standards and regulations should not be there. The first is Ismex, which is an empty domain bought by some www.DomainCollection.com and currently being auctionned by the latter company. The other thing is that one of the companies managed to register a mirror site (1saunas.com and Nordic Saunas is the same company).

Before I got your response I had thought that the reason was actually the absence of an editor in the sauna directory. Yet, I am still worried that this might cause a very long waiting period.

Thanks for pointing out those sites - we'll have a look. Every category can be edited by any editor higher up the tree, so the Products/Widgets category can be edited by anyone listed as an editor of the Products category. Also several hundred editors classified as editall or meta can edit anywhere in the directory without being listed as an editor in specific categories. Having said that, we can never guarantee how long it will take for a site to be reviewed, other than saying that it will probably be between about five minutes and a year or two, depending on when a volunteer editor chooses to drop by that category and review any submissions.

Thanks a lot for the great idea!!! However, despite the location of our office, we serve all states in the United States and internationally. Do you think it would be relevant to submit it to the aforementioned category? Thanks again.

Yes, that's why you may be eligible for the Home_and_Garden listing.

However, you have one showroom, and it is located in Huntingdon Valley. The existence of that showroom is why your site is of regional importance -- people looking for your products can come see them in Huntingdon Valley. As a result, the aforementioned category would be the appropriate place for your site in the Regional branch.

The Forum Guidelines, located near the top of the forum, marked "READ BEFORE POSTING", request that you leave at least one month between status update requests.

As an editor kindly gave you a status update on July 24, 2003 (which was less than the requested month's wait after your submission), we would ask that you please wait until at least August 24, 2003 before requesting another update.

It has been listed in Regional: North America: United States: Pennsylvania: Localities: H: Huntingdon Valley: Business and Economy

As for Shopping/Home_and_Garden/Swimming_Pools_and_Spas/Saunas. It is still not pending there. Has it been resubmitted as suggested in the posts above. I actually searched from the parent category of Swimming Pools and Spas and found it is not pending there or in any subcategories. There is also no indication at all that the site has been touched by an editor other than to list it in the regional category. I would recommend resubmitting.

Ummm...actually kokopeli, sorry to contradict you, but as raggedyrugs noted last month, it is waiting in that category, along with more than 50 others. You must have missed it. :)

I looked twice, once from the main category listed here and once from one higher when I didn't find it there. I looked--three times, I swear! :crazy:

[edited to add] Ok, in my defense if you do a search by url it isn't in correct alphabetical order. It goes http://s..., http://www.RussianSauna.com/ http://www.a.... I'm confuzzled! If another editor who has access to look and can see what I'm missing please msg me. I don't want to give another wrong answer but I don't see why this one is landing where it is. It isn't the "www." because this has a www and is at the beginning of those who have it included. :confused: :confused: :confused:

[edited again] djdeeds figured it out and gave me a quicker search trick. Thanks :)
