www.shubhalagna.org submission problem

i did submission of site www.shubhalagna.org many time in last 1.5 months in directory
http://dmoz.org/Regional/Asia/India/Society_and_Culture/Matrimonials/Hindu/
and
http://dmoz.org/Regional/Asia/India/Society_and_Culture/Matrimonials/Jain/

But i am not gettin listed. Editor of this category is getting logged in from last 1 month. I am very much worried about this , as i am not gettig listing of my site on google as well as on any other search engine.
Please guide me the best way. Help me.

First...we are not a search engine. An actual editor (who is volunteer and edits as time allows) goes to a site, reviews it, and either accepts, denies or moves the site to the most appropriate category. Your site was listed in http://dmoz.org/Regional/Asia/India/Madhya_Pradesh/Localities/Indore/Society_and_Culture/ yesterday, it is unlikely you will also be listed in the subcategories. Sites are normally listed in the one most appropriate category.

As for listings in the other search engines, you can always submit to them. DMOZ has no control over what they do with our data or when they do it.

I notice that you must have read my post as to where your site was listed and I see there is now an update for adding search terms to your description. ODP is a directory, not a search engine, and as such does not allow for key wording in descriptions. Also, it appears you are requesting much of the current description, but without any of the current punctuation--which won't be accepted. Sorry.

my website www.shubhalagna.org was listed at http://www.dmoz.org/Regional/Asia/India/Madhya_Pradesh/Localities/Indore/Society_and_Culture/

and now it is not there.

now i have resubmitted it to
http://www.dmoz.org/Regional/Asia/India/Society_and_Culture/Matrimonials/

well both category are good for site contents, but the best is matrimonials one as per contents. so best category for it will be http://www.dmoz.org/Regional/Asia/India/Society_and_Culture/Matrimonials/

but editor of this category is coming from long time(2 months)
so please list it some how in desired category.
Please guide me if anything is expected from me.

The site will reappear in the Indore category. It's there in our database and awaits only an automatic refresh. There may be some delay because of our ongoing upgrades, but rest assured it will happen.

The site will not be listed in any of the wider geographical categories. Our policy is to list regional sites in the narrowest applicable category. Please don't resubmit to the wider categories, you're wasting both your time and ours.

by what time auto refresh of server is expected as this happens for more then a week.
please look for the matter for problem with auto refresh.

Oh we know what the problem is - right now the ODP servers are undergoing a major upgrade which has meant that they have disconnected the editing side from the publicly-available side - if you read around on these fora you will see it mentioned many times.

Once the update is complete, then we are told that everything will get synched back up.

We hope that the public site will be updated in a little more than a week, soon after the 20th of July. The data base will not be refreshed earlier than that. Sorry not to be able to give you better news; this is a frustrating wait for all of us, but at least we do have a date when it should be finished...

We do not have the responsibility, or even the ability, to refresh the server.

Our technical staff knows that the server needs refreshing, and will do it according to its priority. That priority will always be lower than "doing things to make sure editors can keep editing" and "delivering the ODP product, which is the RDF file." And, just for the record, for the next week they plan to be reconfiguring the editors' servers.

And as for favouring you, note that approximately 50,000 to 100,000 listing changes are not displaying while the new system rolls out. Your site has hardly been singled out for special attention.

Don't ask about server refresh again.

You can watch the "Bugs and Features" forum, or the "General Issues" forum, for discussion of the progress of the server upgrade.

It is probably affecting about 30-50,000 sites now, and we really need NOT to discuss it for each one, OK?
