XML Vocabularies

While searching the directory for items about the Semantic Web I noticed that the entry for SMIL (Synchronised Multimedia Integration Language) is at the same directory level as XML.

This is at the same level as other XML vocabularies such as SVG.

From a purely structural point of view, the XML vocabularies should branch from that of XML so that it becomes easier to spot which markup languages have namespaces which can be easily integrated. I don't think it makes much difference at this point as there aren't many entries in these categories.

WML (Wireless Markup Language) should perhaps also be listed with the other XML vocabularies.

Does there exist any informal arrangement for a non-editor to suggest a number of worthwhile online references to an existing editor (if one exists for the particular category) without going through the lengthy submission process? The type of references could be limited to academic and or non-commercial information-rich resources.

I realise that this might lead to a temporary increase to the workload but I wonder it there possible ways for others to contribute to the directory in some capacity, particularly in those subject areas which are not associated with business concerns.

Just a thought ...
