Editall/Catmv lissa Posted February 19, 2004 Editall/Catmv Posted February 19, 2004 Re: a silly question: do ODP editors work for free Many webmasters just don't understand why we work for free, because what they are thinking is that we are promoting other people's websites. In reality, we work for free because it is a hobby. It's fun, it's nice to be a part of something big and useful, there is a neat community of people, and sometimes we like to use our own work. Just commenting on the topic.
bobrat Posted February 19, 2004 Posted February 19, 2004 Re: a silly question: do ODP editors work for free Think of editing in ODP as creating a giant set of bookmarks for everyone. Just as people create web sites on topics that are of interest to them, or built up bookmarks for sites they are interested in, editors create lists of web sites in categories they are interested in.
