Guest Posted October 1, 2002 Posted October 1, 2002 I submitted my site Optimal Gambling to the DMOZ category Games/Gambling/Guides earlier this month. Do you have any info regarding the submission status of my site. Actually this is the second time I've submitted my site (can't remember the details of first submission). Sorry for that. I didn't realize this is 'not done'. (newbie)
apeuro Posted October 2, 2002 Posted October 2, 2002 You don't have any unique content that would justify a listing.
Guest Posted October 2, 2002 Posted October 2, 2002 Just for the record I disagree. I've seen a lot of gambling sites and my site is certainly not lacking *any* unique content (not saying everything is unique). But thanks anyway for looking into it and good luck with your directory. S.
Guest Posted November 18, 2002 Posted November 18, 2002 Hi again, I have 3 questions: 1) Can I conclude from the above discussion that my submission to the gambling/guides category has been rejected? 2) Does it makes sense to submit again as my site grows larger day by day and might at some point in time meet your criteria for submission? 3) As to Apeuro's qualification of 'no unique content', what exactly do you mean? The only non-unique content I use on my site is: - 4 shockwave games supplied by various casinos/portals; - a Blackjack school and columns supplied by http://www.gamemasteronline.com/ All other content is my own, about 80% of my site. I just noted that another site that is listed in the gambling/guides directory, i.e. http://www.thegamblersedge.com/ also uses the Blackjack school from GameMaster Online. So if it is permitted to use syndicated content (in moderation) for one site why label my site as having 'no unique content'. Thanks again.
