tommytwotimes Posted March 2, 2004 Posted March 2, 2004 Hi. I was hoping that someone would be kind enough to let me know the status of http://www.pescarafountains.com, which was submitted to the following category: Category: http://dmoz.org/Shopping/Home_and_Garden/Water_Gardens/Fountains/ Thanks!
yapuka Posted March 2, 2004 Posted March 2, 2004 We ask users of this forum to wait at least one month after their suggestion before thay make enquiries here. You suggested this site on February 13th.
tommytwotimes Posted March 2, 2004 Author Posted March 2, 2004 Hmm... I had in my notes that it was submitted on 1/2/04. Sorry about that.
tommytwotimes Posted April 6, 2004 Author Posted April 6, 2004 Hi, Would someone mind telling me the status of http://www.pescarafountains.com. It was submitted to the following category a few months back: http://dmoz.org/Shopping/Home_and_Garden/Water_Gardens/Fountains/ Thanks :-)
yapuka Posted April 6, 2004 Posted April 6, 2004 [readme]readme[/readme] Wait at least a month after you last submitted your site to start a thread here asking about its status. Last suggest date: 15/Mar/2004
tommytwotimes Posted April 6, 2004 Author Posted April 6, 2004 [readme]readme[/readme] Last suggest date: 15/Mar/2004 In my notes, I originally posted it on Jan. 2, 2004. On February 13th, I checked on the status and was told that it hadn't been a month yet (which it clearly was). I figured I'd wait 1 1/2 months to check back so that I would follow the guidelines and didn't want to anger any editors, but now I'm being told it hasn't been a month again. Is it possible that there is a bug in the system somewhere? I haven't had this problem with any other site submissions except this one. Is it possible that someone else who works for the company is submitting the site at the same time, and that is refreshing the submit date? Thank you for your time! ;-)
Meta hutcheson Posted April 6, 2004 Meta Posted April 6, 2004 Is it possible that there is a bug in the system somewhere? Is it possible that someone else who works for the company is submitting the site at the same time, and that is refreshing the submit date? Yes, either is possible. The alter-ego submittal is more likely. Much more likely than either of those is some automated submittal program. It's not our concern, however. If it's your submittals, then we'll thank you to get the spamming stopped before we help you. If it happens again and you swear you've stopped spamming, we can check into it further from this end.

I have everything logged on my part so I guess I'll check back a little over a month after the most recent submission date that Yapuka gave me. And I do not spam the open directory like you are accusing me of. Where's the love? ;-)
spectregunner Posted April 6, 2004 Posted April 6, 2004 Forum guidelines do not require love. Would some flowers work instead?
tommytwotimes Posted April 6, 2004 Author Posted April 6, 2004 Forum guidelines do not require love. Would some flowers work instead? lol! Actually a 12-pack of Newcastle would work better. Time for me to stop wasting this forums resources. I'll talk to you guys next month.
