Guest Posted April 8, 2002 Posted April 8, 2002 I must admit to making a huge, embarrasing booboo! As a new editor to the Regional: Africa: South Africa: Business and Economy: Internet: Web Design and Development category last year, I was unable (for personal reasons) to perform my duties as an editor for a (rather long) period of time. My status as Editor was obviously de-activated because of the extended period of inactivity on my account. This is an answer that I have, shamefully, only now discovered. What happened was that I tried to login after the initial inactivity - with no success. And let me be honest here, I really panicked! I thought I'd done something hugely wrong and was too enbarrased to look into the matter and make the relevant enquiries. I left it alone for a long time. I'm really embarassed about the whole thing because it has now been an absolute age since my last login! I dearly want to continue with my responsibility - the category now shows that it needs an editor. I've sent through an email requesting that my account be re-activated. What are the chances of my being re-instated?

You should contact one of the meta editors if this ever happens again.
Meta yklaw Posted April 9, 2002 Meta Posted April 9, 2002 There's now a form for this purpose, although if you've emailed a meta then don't bother filling it in. Just for reference, really.
apeuro Posted April 9, 2002 Posted April 9, 2002 . . . although if you've emailed a meta then don't bother filling it in. Actually, please DO fill out the form, even if you have emailed a meta. It makes the process of reinstating your account much easier.
